“It is crazy to see all the pictures from Norway and all the support, the engagement and the celebration. We have dreamed of days like this since we were very small. We have seen pictures from when Norway beat Brazil and heard stories about it, and now we are writing our own history.
“Brazil have a really good team, a lot of good players. It is going to be a tough, tough test for us. I know a few of them from Arsenal, top players, and I’m looking forward to seeing them. Hopefully we can give them a good fight.”
William Saliba is also through to the next round with France (against Paraguay at 10pm on Saturday) after they put three past Sweden without reply, meaning Viktor Gyokeres’ tournament has come to an end.
Two goals from Kylian Mbappe and one from Bradley Barcola saw the French through in style, with our Wilo helping the nation to a clean sheet by winning 100% of his aerial duels.
