Arsenal are interested in signing Real Madrid winger Brahim Diaz in the summer transfer window, according to Sports Boom (h/t TEAMtalk). The Gunners are reportedly preparing a €35 million deal to test Los Blancos’ resolve, with Diaz’s contract set to expire in the summer of 2027.
Brahim Diaz has struggled to break into Real Madrid’s starting XI this season, registering one goal and six assists in 31 appearances across all competitions (1009 minutes). While the LaLiga giants are not looking to offload the Morocco international this summer, they will reportedly listen to offers between €40 and €45 million if he expresses a will to leave.
Thanks for the submission!
Arsenal are keen on signing Diaz in an attempt to further bolster their squad. Mikel Arteta allegedly wants to utilize the 26-year-old alongside Martin Odegaard to unlock low blocks. The former is extremely versatile and can be deployed as an attacking midfielder, winger on either side, and a forward.
Since joining Madrid in 2019, Diaz has recorded 21 goals and 27 assists in 152 appearances across all competitions, helping Los Blancos win six trophies.
Arsenal star rejects opportunity to join Real Madrid this summer despite Florentino Perez’s intervention: Reports
Arsenal midfielder Martin Zubimendi has rejected the opportunity to join Real Madrid this summer, despite Florentino Perez reportedly contacting his agent over a possible transfer, as per Football365. The Spaniard is content in London and satisfied with his role at the Emirates Stadium.
Former Los Blancos boss Xabi Alonso was reportedly keen on signing Zubimendi last summer. However, the latter ended up joining the Gunners from Real Sociedad for a reported sum of €65 million.
The 27-year-old has been a standout performer for Arsenal in midfield, alongside Declan Rice. He has scored six goals and provided three assists in 44 appearances across all competitions, playing a pivotal role in their pursuit of the Premier League title, Champions League, and FA Cup.
However, Real Madrid have struggled this season under Alvaro Arbeloa, with their midfield being a notable point of weakness. After reportedly being rejected by Zubimendi, Los Blancos are now reportedly interested in Enzo Fernandez, Vitinha, and Rodri to strengthen their squad this summer.
