Arsenal have been left sweating over winger Noni Madueke’s fitness after a video of him wearing a brace on his left leg came to light. The 24-year-old started for Thomas Tuchel’s side in their 1-1 draw against Uruguay on Friday, March 27.
Madueke had to be subbed off in the 38th minute after a collision with Uruguayan striker Rodrigo Aguire. He was later seen in a video walking through the mixed zone at Wembley with a brace on his left leg.

If Madueke’s injury is a serious one, it could be a huge setback for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal as they approach the business end of the season. Their treble dreams are still on after their defeat in the EFL Cup final against Manchester City.
Many were sceptical regarding the Gunners’ acquisition of Madueke from Chelsea last summer in a reported £52 million deal. However, it would be fair to say that the Englishman has silenced his doubters.
Despite not being a regular starter, he has scored seven goals and provided four assists this season. He has only played 1634 minutes of first-team football across competitions and started only 20 games.

Arsenal star Kai Havertz has dismissed speculations surrounding his future amid competition from Victor Gyokeres. The German is set to enter the final two years of his deal at the Emirates and has struggled with injuries this season.
He missed a big chunk of the first half of the season after undergoing knee surgery and suffered a hamstring injury after his return. Mikel Arteta, on the other hand, also splashed £64 million with add-ons for a traditional number nine, Victor Gyokeres, in the summer.
Havertz, however, has insisted that he is happy and commited to the Gunners and has no plans to consider his future. He said:
“No, to be honest, I haven’t heard anything about that, and I haven’t read anything about it either. I feel right at home at Arsenal, I feel everyone there is also very, very happy with me. Sure, it wasn’t a very easy season, but I definitely see my future at Arsenal, in London.”
Havertz has only played 524 minutes of first-team football across competitions so far this season, scoring thrice and providing two assists. He joined the Gunners in a reported £65 million deal in 2023 and has scored 32 goals and provided 15 assists in 101 games.
