Manchester United has reportedly been handed a boost in their pursuit of Arsenal star Myles Lewis-Skelly this summer. The Gunners are open to hearing offers about Lewis-Skelly, who’s been linked to the Red Devils in recent months.
Myles Lewis-Skelly hails from Arsenal’s youth academy, Hale End, and made his professional debut for the club in September 2024. The 19-year-old has made 67 appearances for the Gunners across competitions, but has been unable to retain consistent gametime. Mikel Arteta has preferred Riccardo Calafiori in the left back position over Lewis-Skelly, leading to his lack of game time at the Emirates.

According to the BBC (h/t UTD District), Arsenal are open to hearing offers about Myles Lewis-Skelly this summer. The academy graduate has been linked to Manchester United in recent months, as the Red Devils are hunting the market to sign a new left-back. Some of their other targets for the position include Newcastle United star Lewis Hall and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Nathaniel Brown, and Lewis-Kelly could be a cheaper option than both.
Lewis-Skelly’s current contract with the Gunners runs until June 2030, with his estimated market value being around €35 million. With Arsenal also looking to bring new signings in the summer, they will look to offload certain players. The academy graduate, alongside on-loan Ethan Nwaneri, is high on their list of players on sale.

In an interview on BestBettingSites, former footballer Alan Smith claimed Myles Lewis-Skelly could leave Arsenal this summer. He said (via Metro UK):
“It’s been a really difficult season for Myles Lewis-Skelly, hasn’t it? He’s behind two players, really, for the left-back slot. If he did get a chance, I’d quite like to see him in midfield. That’s his position.”
“Just see how he fares there. He’s not the best of defenders, so it suits him better in midfield. He’s really creative. I think it’ll probably be a shop window for him. I think there’s every chance he might leave in the summer. We’ll see on that.”
Myles Lewis-Skelly has started only one Premier League game this season, although he made it to the starting XI in six Champions League clashes. The youngster had an exceptional debut 2024-25 season, making 42 appearances across competitions.
Lewis-Skelly was a starter in 16 Premier League games and was also stellar in the UCL quarter-finals vs Real Madrid. Following his performances, Jamie Carragher compared the youngster to Manchester United legends Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen as well. The 19-year-old is still expected to be a regular for England and must look for a suitable move elsewhere to gain more game time. Manchester United could be a great fit, since the Red Devils are in dire need of a new left-back.
