Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali has reportedly been offered to Real Madrid despite being linked with a move to Arsenal and Manchester United, per AS Diary (via Football London). However, Tonali isn’t on top of Los Blancos’ shortlist, and the LaLiga giants would only push for a deal if their other options fall through.
Tonali has impressed for the Magpies, recording 10 goals and 10 assists in 104 appearances across all competitions to date, helping them win the EFL Cup. The Italy international is contracted with the club until 2029, and Eddie Howe and Co. are allegedly relaxed about his future at St. James’ Park.

However, Newcastle have struggled this season and are currently languishing in 12th place in the Premier League standings. They are unlikely to qualify for Europe, which could prompt Sandro Tonali to seek a move away from the club.
While Tonali reportedly isn’t one of Real Madrid’s priority transfer targets, Manchester United are unlikely to make a move for him either due to the overall costs involved in sanctioning a deal. Arsenal have also been linked with Tonali, but would have to pay upwards of €100 million to get the deal over the line.

Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney reckons Bukayo Saka has struggled to perform for Arsenal this season due to the pressure of trying to end their trophy drought. In addition, Rooney also pinpointed Saka’s high workload since breaking into the Gunners’ starting XI in 2018.
Barring the FA Community Shield, Arsenal haven’t won a major trophy since 2020. Mikel Arteta and Co. have finished second in the Premier League in the past three years, but have a massive opportunity to win their first title in 22 years.
Rooney provided his verdict on Saka’s campaign, with the former Manchester United attacker stating (via METRO):
“Do you know what? You need to look at the pressure on Bukayo Saka, especially as he’s been captain for a lot of the season with Martin Odegaard being injured. That pressure to win trophies, given where Arsenal have been, that can tally up and make it difficult for you. He has struggled this season but he’s a fantastic player and he’s been brilliant. He’s played a lot of games as well in his career. I think we all know there’s more there.”
Saka has bagged nine goals and seven assists in 42 appearances across all competitions this season.
