{"id":9458,"date":"2026-06-02T08:30:55","date_gmt":"2026-06-02T08:30:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sportings.com.ng\/?p=9458"},"modified":"2026-06-02T08:30:55","modified_gmt":"2026-06-02T08:30:55","slug":"womens-international-call-ups-for-june-international-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportings.com.ng\/?p=9458","title":{"rendered":"Women\u2019s international call-ups for June | International | News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>16 members of our women\u2019s team have been called up to represent their nations across the upcoming international break.<\/p>\n<p>For England, we have four players among the Lionesses to take on Spain and Ukraine in the FIFA Women\u2019s World Cup qualifiers, with <strong>Chloe Kelly, Taylor Hinds, Alessia Russo, <\/strong>and<strong> Lotte Wubben-Moy<\/strong> all in contention to feature for Sarina Wiegman\u2019s side.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mariona Caldentey<\/strong> could come up against her Arsenal teammates in that game against England, before Spain travel to Iceland for their following World Cup qualifier.<\/p>\n<p>Sweden are second in Group A of World Cup qualifying so <strong>Stina Blackstenius <\/strong>and<strong> Smilla Holmberg<\/strong> will both be looking for two vital wins against Denmark and Italy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Caitlin Foord <\/strong>and <strong>Steph Catley <\/strong>are set to be involved in international friendly action with Australia. The Matildas are currently preparing for a double header with Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, USA will play a couple of friendlies with Brazil, and Emma Hayes has called upon the services of <strong>Emily Fox <\/strong>for the games.
