Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is likely to be without Martin \u00d8degaard for a short spell. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Norway international has struggled with multiple injuries this season. To put it in context, he was already out of action on five different occasions, missing 121 days and 23 matches for Arsenal.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last weekend, the midfielder came back from a knee problem he suffered in the derby win over Tottenham Hotspur in February.<\/p>\n

He started in the FA Cup defeat to Southampton and also in the Gunners\u2019 1-0 Champions League win over Sporting.\u00a0On Tuesday, the former Real Madrid man had to leave the pitch at the 70th minute due to an injury.<\/p>\n

TV2 expert Jesper Mathisen was concerned about the Arsenal star\u2019s latest setback.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cThose are scary images. Like watching a horror movie. A nightmare. He\u2019s not sitting down for no reason. It would have been a big loss for both Arsenal and Norway if he had to go out with an injury again.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Confirmation of Arsenal star\u2019s fresh setback<\/h2>\n

Earlier today, Norway manager St\u00e5le Solbakken attended a Football Conference 2026 at Oslo’s Ullevaal Stadium.<\/p>\n

This gave the Norwegian media an opportunity to have a chat with him and The daily newspaper<\/a> have relayed his comments on Martin \u00d8degaard.<\/p>\n

The national team manager confirms the fresh setback for the Arsenal player while insists it isn\u2019t a serious one.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe (\u00d8degaard) got a little one (injury) where he shouldn\u2019t have, but I don\u2019t think it\u2019s anything serious. He\u2019ll be on the field in the near future. It was a small setback, and we don\u2019t need any more of them,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n

Our take: Not what Arsenal needed<\/h2>\n

Mikel Arteta is already without a few injured players and\u00a0Martin \u00d8degaard now joins the list.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old\u2019s setback comes at a crucial stage of the season for Arsenal, who are in the race to win the title and are also in contention to win the Champions League.<\/p>\n

St\u00e5le Solbakken says his setback isn\u2019t serious. However, it\u2019s concerning for Arsenal until the end of the season and Norway ahead of the World Cup.<\/p>\n

The midfielder has played 1,536 minutes from 26 matches this season, managing one goal and six assists.<\/p>\n
