Manchester United and Manchester City are reportedly likely to be the two main clubs in the race for the transfer of Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The England international is dominating headlines at the moment after a superb season in the Premier League, and it\u2019s easy to imagine him being a key player for his country at this summer\u2019s World Cup in North America.<\/p>\n

According to Florian Plettenberg, Forest now expect Anderson to join either United or City if he leaves this summer, though a deal won\u2019t come cheap.<\/p>\n

This latest update could mean that Arsenal and Chelsea are out of the running for Anderson as speculation grows that he\u2019ll join one of the Manchester clubs.<\/p>\n

In fairness, United are about to lose possibly two midfielders this summer, with Casemiro set to be out of contract, while Manuel Ugarte has flopped and could leave, as reported here.<\/p>\n

That makes someone like Anderson an urgent priority for MUFC, who might need another midfield signing on top of that.<\/p>\n

City are also looking in need of changes in the middle of the park, with Rodri\u2019s future in some doubt as Real Madrid show an interest, according to Fabrizio Romano on his YouTube<\/a> channel.<\/p>\n
