Gabriel Jesus has reserved special praise for two Arsenal teammates and insists he is \u2018very confident\u2019 the Gunners will clinch the Premier League title.<\/p>\n

Mikel Arteta\u2019s side boast a nine-point lead at the top of the table as they chase a first Premier League title since 2004.<\/p>\n

Second-placed Manchester City have a game in hand in which they will try to close the gap and may have dealt Arsenal a psychological blow before the international break by winning the Carabao Cup final.<\/p>\n

Thoughts of finishing second in the Premier League for the fourth year in a row may have been going through the Arsenal players\u2019 minds after losing at Wembley but Jesus insists he \u2018100% believes\u2019 special things are coming.<\/p>\n

Asked by Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand how confident he is that Arsenal will go on to win the title, Jesus said: \u2018Very confident,\u00a0very confident.<\/p>\n

\u2018We are in a good place and we have an amazing squad. Not just the players who play most of the games but the whole squad.<\/p>\n

\u2018I believe 100% that this season we\u00a0are doing something.\u2019<\/p>\n

Much of Arsenal\u2019s success this season has been down to England midfielder Declan Rice, who Jesus rates as an \u2018amazing\u2019 player who can \u2018do everything\u2019.<\/p>\n

Rice has established himself as one of the best midfielders not only in the Premier League but the world since his \u00a3100m move from West Ham in 2023.<\/p>\n

\u2018He\u2019s\u00a0the type of player who can do everything,\u2019 Brazil international Jesus said of Rice on Ferdinand\u2019s YouTube channel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u2018When he arrived at the club I asked him to me a favour and that was to shoot every time you get the opportunity. Those moments can decide the game\u00a0and his shooting quality is amazing.<\/p>\n

\u2018But\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0the type of play who can do everything. He can defend, he can create, he can shoot\u2026\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0an amazing player.<\/p>\n

\u2018He\u2019s\u00a0different from Rodri because Declan is playing as a No. 8 now. I can compare him a little bit with Fernandinho. Fernandinho defended better than him I think but Declan gets forward, we call him The Horse because when he gets going you\u00a0can\u2019t\u00a0stop him.<\/p>\n

\u2018He\u2019s\u00a0amazing, man,\u00a0really amazing.\u00a0Look at his character as well, he was born to be a leader. I really\u00a0appreciate\u00a0him as a person and as a player.\u2019<\/p>\n

Jesus also heaped praise on Bukayo Saka, insisting \u2018people don\u2019t realising how good he is\u2019.<\/p>\n

Saka has been a key player for Arsenal and England in recent years but has endured an underwhelming season, scoring just twice since early December.<\/p>\n

\u2018He\u2019s\u00a0very good,\u00a0very good,\u2019 Jesus said of Saka. \u2018People\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0realise how good he is.<\/p>\n

\u2018He\u2019s\u00a0the type of player who needs the\u00a0ball,\u00a0you\u2019re\u00a0not going to see him dribbling past five players and then score. He has that quality but\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0not his main style.<\/p>\n

\u2018But he can get\u00a0past\u00a0you\u00a0and put the ball in the top corner. He can win you a game or a trophy because\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0that good.\u2019<\/p>\n

Asked to compare Saka with some of his Brazilian teammates such as Vinicius Junior and Raphinha, Jesus added: \u2018He\u2019s\u00a0at the same table, the same table.<\/p>\n

\u2018They are all the same.\u00a0Obviously\u00a0we\u2019re\u00a0talking about different\u00a0styles\u00a0but they all have that quality and\u00a0can do\u00a0things in one moment. You still need to win trophies but\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0there,\u00a0he\u2019s\u00a0there.\u2019<\/p>\n

Arsenal are back in action on Saturday, facing Championship side Southampton for a place in the FA Cup semi-finals.<\/p>\n

Arteta\u2019s side then begin a Champions League quarter-final tie against Sporting before resuming their Premier League title charge at home to Bournemouth.<\/p>\n
