\t<\/div>Barcelona star Joan Garcia believes that his Spanish counterpart David Raya is the \u2018best goalkeeper in the world\u2019.<\/p>\n
Garcia earned his first\u00a0senior\u00a0call-ups to the Spanish national team for this month\u2019s friendlies against\u00a0Serbia\u00a0and\u00a0Egypt.<\/p>\n
The Bara shotstopper, who attracted interest from Arsenal last summer, will look to provide competition with Raya, Unai Simon and Alex Remiro for the number one jersey in\u00a0Luis de la Fuente\u2019s side.<\/p>\n
Currently, Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Simon is seen as the first choice by De La Fuente, starting throughout Spain\u2019s World Cup qualifying campaign.<\/p>\n
However, speaking at the national team training camp, Garcia argued that his teammate Raya is currently the world\u2019s best in between the sticks after his super season at Arsenal.<\/p>\n
\u2018Right now, I like David Raya,\u2019 Garcia told El Larguero when asked who he thought was the best \u2018keeper in the world at present.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re four top-class goalkeepers and each of us will try to do our best. There\u2019s nothing like that.<\/p>\n \u2018Regarding Unai Simon, I\u2019d say that the calm and tranquility he exudes is very important. Unai does that. <\/p>\n \u2018As for Remiro, among many other things, I like how quick he is between the posts and with his feet. He\u2019s very good too. <\/p>\n \u2018David Raya is very good with his feet and is a very brave goalkeeper who tries to help the team in any way he can.\u2019<\/p>\n Prior to the international break, Raya watched from the bench as his Arsenal side suffered a 2-0 defeat in the Carabao Cup final.<\/p>\n Mikel Arteta opted to stick with Kepa Arrizabalaga for the Wembley showpiece, a decision that was widely criticised after the Gunners second-choice \u2018keeper made a mistake for City\u2019s opening goal.<\/p>\n \u2018I know people will say it\u2019s sentiment and he played in the earlier rounds, but Kepa is not as good as Raya. That\u2019s why he is the number two,\u2019 Jamie Redknapp said on Sky Sports.<\/p>\n \u2018So why, in a major cup final when you\u2019re trying to get across the line and you\u2019ve not won a trophy in so long, do you decide to play him? You have to take responsibility for that. That is a monumental error.<\/p>\n \u2018He\u2019s not a bad goalkeeper \u2013 he isn\u2019t not as good as Raya. It has come back and backfired big time.
