The summer transfer window isn\u2019t far away \u2013 who looks the most likely to complete a switch to Madrid?<\/p>\n We\u2019ve included players from clubs such as Chelsea, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur in this list \u2013 let\u2019s take a look at who is currently in Madrid\u2019s crosshairs. <\/p>\n Enzo Fernandez has enjoyed arguably his best season in a Chelsea shirt to date. Scoring eight goals and notching up three assists in the Premier League this season, he has attracted the attention of Madrid\u2019s recruitment team. <\/p>\n Madrid have been linked with a move for him and Manchester City\u2019s Rodri, but their interest in the latter appears to have cooled recently. Therefore, a transfer involving Fernandez looks ever more likely. <\/p>\n Speaking with MARK<\/a>journalist Raul Varela said: \u201cEnzo is much closer to Real Madrid, Rodri has no chance of going to Real Madrid. Today, the president of Real Madrid doesn\u2019t want to sign him.\u201d<\/p>\n Cristian Romero has led a desperate campaign at Tottenham Hotspur. With Spurs leaning on the brink of relegation, an exodus seems inevitable \u2013 whether they remain in the Premier League or not. <\/p>\n Romero isn\u2019t Madrid\u2019s preferred target \u2013 they would rather sign Nico Schlotterbeck from Borussia Dortmund, but it looks increasingly likely that the towering German will sign a contract extension in favour of a jump to the Bernabeu. <\/p>\n Romero has a special release clause that will allow him to join top La Liga clubs for a cut price. Most clubs would have to pay \u00a360.5m to activate his release clause, while Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are all able to sign him for \u00a352m (via MARK<\/a>). <\/p>\n Real Madrid are far from the only club who are interested in a move for Newcastle United\u2019s Sandro Tonali \u2013 nevertheless, their pursuit of the player has been documented. <\/p>\n Earlier in the month, The Sun<\/a> reported that Madrid had sent scouts to monitor Tonali, though nothing has been heard on Madrid\u2019s end since this.<\/p>\n Newcastle have not enjoyed a positive season by any means, but Tonali has been one of their better players \u2013 there have been noticeable gaps in their midfield when the Italian international hasn\u2019t been present.<\/p>\n Arguably the best left-back in the Premier League right now, Marc Cucurella rocked Chelsea by suggesting that he would entertain a move back to La Liga. Among those linked with a move for him are Madrid, but Barcelona are also thought to be in the mix.<\/p>\n Speaking on a potential move back to Madrid or Barcelona, Cucurella said (via FootballTransfers<\/a>): \u201cYou always think about going back. I\u2019m very happy there (in London), and so is my family. I\u2019ll leave it for a few years from now.<\/p>\n \u201cIt would be difficult to refuse. It\u2019s not just about me. I\u2019d have to think about my family.
