Arsenal are allegedly interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen star Christian Kofane in the upcoming summer transfer window.<\/p>\n
Kofane, 19, has established himself as an essential squad member for Leverkusen since leaving La Liga 2 side Albacete for over \u00a34 million last July. He has grown by leaps and bounds over the course of the 2025-26 season, providing competition to Patrik Schick along the way.<\/p>\n

Mikel Arteta’s outfit have already experienced the player’s talent in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 this term.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/template><\/p>\n Bayer Leverkusen, meanwhile, are seeking a transfer fee between \u00a352 million and \u00a361 million for the potential sale of Kofane. Should they lose the teenage striker to Arsenal in the summer, they would launch a move to sign Club Brugge man Nicolo Tresoldi to act as Schick’s backup.<\/p>\n Kofane, whose current contract will run out in 2029, has started 17 of his 39 overall appearances for Bayer Leverkusen this campaign. He has scored seven goals and laid out eight assists for the Bundesliga outfit so far.<\/p>\n Although the Gunners currently have Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz as two first-team striking options, Kofane could get decent game time under Arteta’s coaching. He would likely fill the void in the squad left by the potential summer exit of Gabriel Jesus, who will turn 29 soon.<\/p>\n Speaking recently on the Transfer Insider podcast, journalist Pete O’Rourke stated that Arsenal are in the transfer race to sign Newcastle United star Tino Livramento. He said (h\/t Football Insider<\/a>):<\/p>\n “It’s no surprise that there’s interest from Arsenal (in Livramento). Obviously, we know Manchester City are long-term admirers of Livramento and see him as a potential player who can come in and slot in at right back for them too. He’s under contract at Newcastle until 2028. There have been talks over a new deal, but nothing is agreed as yet.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Livramento, 23, is considered a vital starter for Newcastle now, with Kieran Trippier being lately used sporadically. He has registered one goal and three assists in 104 games in all competitions for the Magpies so far.<\/p>\n The Chelsea youth product could decide to push for a move away from Newcastle, who are unlikely to qualify for an European competition, soon. His stock could also witness a rise following the 2026 FIFA World Cup.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
